Heard about this iNaturalist thing but not sure how to get started? Or maybe you're having trouble making observations upload correctly?

Accessible by both a web version and a mobile app, iNaturalist is a powerful platform for collecting and sharing observations of living things. Free and user friendly, YOU can use iNaturalist to document nature as well as learn more about identification. In fact, it is the app of choice for the 13 county Twin Cities metro area for the City Nature Challenge. Running from April 24-27, 2026, the City Nature Challenge is a global celebration of urban biodiversity.

In this webinar, we will introduce new users to iNaturalist and show how to use the website and app as part of the 2026 City Nature Challenge. Don’t live in the 13 county metro area? Don’t worry, there are other ways to get involved.
