The impacts of a changing climate are here and will likely intensify in the coming years. We need to take action now to build resilient communities.

Join the Community Climate Leaders program from the University of Minnesota Climate Adaptation Partnership to find ways to take action and help your community prepare, while connecting with others who also want the community to thrive.

This six-week program includes:
- Five online modules covering climate change basics, what a changing climate looks like in Minnesota, accessible climate actions you can take, how to amplify your impact by working in community, how to integrate climate justice, and leadership skills
- Two Zoom sessions to develop climate communication skills and learn how to increase the impact of your climate actions.
- A kick off welcome session to get started with the program and receive support for gaining access to the online curriculum.
- A day-long in-person session to put your climate leadership into action by working with classmates to explore and plan for future climate challenges for your community.
- A stepping stone project to make plans for taking climate action in your community.
- A copy of The Climate Action Handbook by Dr. Heidi Roop with other program materials

The online course will begin on September 28th, with the kick off event taking place on September 29th from 1-4pm at the Cook County Community Center. Zoom sessions will be held weeks of October 12 and October 19th, depending on group availability. The day-long training will be held on November 4th from 9-4pm at the Cook County Community Center in Grand Marais, Minnesota. Food will be provided.
