Are you curious about the natural world around you? Join us at Eastman Nature Center nestled in a mature maple-basswood forest for the Big Woods, Big Rivers course. It’s the perfect setting for hands-on learning about the geology, ecology, plants and animals of the deciduous forest and its associated waterways. A special focus will be on rivers and waterways as Three Rivers Park District is celebrating The Big Year of Rivers in 2026. Two all-day field trips will be Saturday, August 29 and Saturday, September 19. Attendance at all sessions including the field trips is required. All participants will contribute toa small group capstone service project.

The course cost is $295 and includes course manuals and supplies.
