Join in the 2026 City Nature Challenge!
Participants will practice and use the iNaturalist platform to document species at Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve in Easth Bethel. There will be the option of attending a guided hike through the three Minnesota biomes present at Cedar Creek: the tall grass prairie, the coniferous forest, and the deciduous forest. The hike will conclude at Cedar Bog Lake, a famous landmark in the history of ecology. If there is interest and time allows, participants may also have the opportunity to identify species at other locations on site. Identifications made by volunteers at this event could be used to help further the research being conducted at Cedar Creek surrounding local flora and fauna!
Please meet at the Lindeman Center to meet your guides.
