Looking for adventure in the heart of the Twin Cities? Join Wilderness Inquiry for a fall colors canoe paddle down the Mississippi River, led by naturalist Kelsy O'Morrow and NPS ranger Stephen Walker. This hands-on, immersive journey takes place in our local National Park, the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area, during one of the most spectacular times of year.
As you paddle through the vibrant autumn landscape, we will explore the awe-inspiring movement of migratory birds along the Mississippi Flyway and discover the river’s rich human history. Together, we will discuss the cultural and ecological significance of the river and discuss conservation challenges unique to this area.
Participants will sharpen their bird identification skills, deepen their understanding of seasonal changes, and leave with a renewed conservation ethic and unforgettable memories of autumn’s fleeting beauty. These popular adventures fill quickly, so we encourage you to reserve your spot today.
We will paddle in our 10-passenger canoes with all safety gear provided. Your participation directly supports Wilderness Inquiry’s mission of making outdoor experiences accessible for all.
