Pollinator Surveys 2025 need 2-3 more volunteers

Great River Greening (GRG) will lead the second pair of four days of surveys focused on training for citizen science pollinator surveys.
Focus will be on native bees, identified to the Genus level, because their counts are linked to habitat quality.
This will be the second round of two-day surveys (one at the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls campus and one at the Umbria property near Rice, MN) roughly 3 weeks apart.
The dates are -
- September 8 is on our Little Falls campus (116 8th Avenue SE, Little Falls, MN 56345).
- September 9 is at our Umbria location (8205 River Road NE, Rice, MN 56367).
Times each day are 11:00 am until about 4:00 pm, and will include instruction and field practice, survey time, and a closing debriefing.
A GRG ecologist will lead the training.
