VOL - Buckthorn Mapping at Wolsfeld Woods SNA

Buckthorn Mapping at Wolsfeld Woods SNA website

2060 County Rd 6
Long Lake, MN 55356

Join us in mapping buckthorn, a plant that invades woodland areas and out-competes native species, throughout Wolsfeld Woods SNA. This mapping event will help us better understand where buckthorn is found within the site. Mapping data will be used for future buckthorn removal events. No experience necessary, just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm. A device with EDDMapS downloaded on it is highly recommended to help record buckthorn locations.

Clothing and footwear appropriate for outdoor work/hiking is recommended. Please bring water and snacks. There are no public restrooms or drinking water at this site.

Directions
From Long Lake 0.5 mile N on Brown Rd to Co Hwy 6. Cross 6 and park in the NE corner of Trinity Lutheran Church parking lot.
