The Bell Museum is Minnesota’s natural history resource, and this summer the Bell is hosting a Big Woods, Big Rivers Master Naturalist Volunteer Training Course. See forest animals up close in our wildlife dioramas, and learn to identify plants on our outdoor learning landscape! Taking place Tuesday and Thursday evenings, this course will leave participants with a thorough understanding of the basics of the Big Woods biome, the plants and animals that call it home, and the human impacts that continue to shape our forests and rivers.
Two field trip days will emphasize interaction with the natural world, as participants put into action all they have learned from Bell educators and guest speakers. Join us for a collaborative class that draws on the Bell’s 150 years of natural history education! This course qualifies participants to become Master Naturalists after attending class and completing a small group capstone project.
The course cost is $295 and includes course manuals and supplies.
If the course cost is a hardship, please fill out the scholarship application. After the scholarship is fully processed, you will receive a code to be entered in the on-line registration process. Please wait until you receive that code to complete registration.
