VOL - Planting and more with Great River Greening at Frontenac State Park

Planting and more with Great River Greening at Frontenac State Park website

Frontenac State Park
Frontenac, MN 55026

Thanks for helping Great River Greening to support early-stage restoration work on a recently acquired new addition to Frontenac State Park. Located on the Mississippi River, Frontenac is a birdwatcher's paradise. It's one of the best spots in the country to view birds migrating in the spring and fall. More than 260 species of birds have been recorded here.

Volunteers will learn about native plants, prairie restoration, and invasive species removal. This is a family-friendly event. Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to attend. No previous knowledge or experience is necessary, we will provide the tools and training required.

There will be light snacks and extra water available during the event. Please bring your own reusable water bottle. In addition, bring your work/gardening gloves if you have them, if not they will be provided.
