One way to determine water quality in a river is by examining the animals that live there. Spend an afternoon in the Mississippi River catching invertebrates. You'll learn how to identify what we catch and use a biotic index to find out how healthy our stretch of the river is. Be prepared to wade in the river. Limited number of boots available to borrow. Reservations required by two days prior. Sign up here: https://tinyurl.com/biotic-index-class or at www.threeriversparks.org
