National Public Lands Day 2024 is a statewide event that provides unique opportunities for Minnesota Master Naturalist Volunteers to participate in our largest single day of service. Locations across the state will have MNats and others out helping to make Minnesota a better place!
Friends and family are welcome to participate, but must be registered to participate. Everyone will sign a photo release upon site registration. All participants will receive a free NPLD branded item and a day pass to a national park as a thank you for participating.
National Public Lands Day is the nation's largest single-day volunteer effort for public lands, with this year’s theme being “Together for Tomorrow.” Across the country, volunteers of all ages and abilities will roll up their sleeves and join forces for a common goal—stewarding America’s natural resources for future generations to enjoy.
The National Park Service, Mississippi Park Connection, and Dakota County Parks are partnering to host National Public Lands Day: Sow & Grow! We will be restoring the prairie at Spring Lake Park Reserve by planting native plants grown in Dakota County’s hoop house.
