Join local Master Naturalists to learn about the natural history of the Brainerd Lakes Area. We'll explore local nature areas and learn through hands-on activities about the people, plants, animals, and ecosystems that call this place home. In addition, this introductory course will equip participants with knowledge and skills to share outdoor experiences with youth and families and encourage environmental stewardship in our local communities. Attendance at all sessions is required, in addition to two all-day field trips on 9/14 and 10/5.
All participants will complete a small group capstone service project.

I love learning about nature. My background is in Earth science education and technology. I became a Master Naturalist in 2011 and took the instructor training in 2017. Currently, I am working for Minnesota Extension - Brainerd Regional Office as one of the support staff. You can learn more about my interests at my blog/website - Meyer.FYI.
Jane has been a Master Naturalist since 2014. She loves to participate in Citizen Science projects, and is attempting to establish a native pollinator garden in her yard.
