National Public Lands Day 2023 is a statewide event that provides unique opportunities for Minnesota Master Naturalist Volunteers to participate in our largest single day of service. Locations across the state will have MNats and others out helping to make Minnesota a better place!

Friends and family are welcome to participate, but must be registered to participate. Everyone will sign a photo release upon site registration. All participants will receive a free NPLD water bottle as a thank you for participating.

Olmsted County Parks is hosting an afternoon of collecting native prairie seeds that will be used in the parks for prairie restoration. This is a golden opportunity to learn about prairie plants and seed collection while spending time immersed in nature. The event will be held in the afternoon at Root River Park which has newly restored prairies that are full of wildflowers.

Dress: long pants, sturdy closed-toed footwear, gloves, and hat. Sunscreen, water, and snack.
