National Public Lands Day is the single largest day of service for the Minnesota Master Naturalist Program. There are sites 16 all across Minnesota providing volunteer service for conservation efforts.

There are two projects: PROJECT 1 Inventory the contents of a cluster of rain gardens in a Stillwater neighborhood listing a) desirable and b) undesirable plants in each. Offer management tips and maintenance strategies. (Ruth Alliband is team leader for this project) PROJECT 2 Assist in planting forest floor native plants in a 2-acre vest pocket wooded area on the shores of Lily Lake. (Fitzie Helmdahl is team leader for this project.)

All volunteers will receive a free national park day pass and a t-shirt! Family and friends are welcome to participate, but need to sign up to receive t-shirt. They can create a visitor account to register.
