National Public Lands Day is the single largest day of service for the Minnesota Master Naturalist Program.
There are 16 sites across Minnesota providing volunteer service for conservation efforts.
Volunteers are needed to hand harvest native prairie plant seeds to be used in prairie reconstruction efforts in western Minnesota. All needed tools and training will be provided, though you are welcome to bring your own gloves or clippers if you prefer. Wear long pants and closed toe shoes for walking in tall grass. Bring any personal gear needed, including water, sunscreen, insect repellant and lunch.
All volunteers will receive a free national park day pass and a t-shirt! Family and friends are welcome to participate but will need to sign up to receive t-shirt. They can create a visitor account to register.
