National Public Lands Day is the single largest day of service for the Minnesota Master Naturalist Program. There are 16 sites across Minnesota providing volunteer service for conservation efforts.

The main focus will be removing invasive species, primarily buckthorn. Volunteers will use weed wrenches and lopper to pull/cut small diameter buckthorn. These areas are home to rare/endangered species such as the dwarf trout lily and the work we will be doing is to preserve and protect the native habitat.

Please bring water bottles, snacks, gloves, and bug spray. Please wear sturdy, closed toed shoes/boot. If you have your own loppers or weed wrench feel free to bring it with.

All volunteers will receive a free national park day pass and a t-shirt! Family and friends are welcome to participate but will need to sign up to receive t-shirt. They can create a visitor account to register.
