National Public Lands Day is the single largest day of service for the Minnesota Master Naturalist Program.
There are 16 sites all across Minnesota providing volunteer service for conservation efforts.
Come help out at Lost Valley Prairie SNA, a beautiful bedrock bluff prairie featuring a series of limestone ridges and dry swales that a number of remarkable plant and animal species call home. Join the Lost Valley Prairie Site Stewards in searching for and removing invasive species and collecting native plant seeds. ,br>
Advanced registration is required and the event will be capped at 50 attendees. To register, please email email@example.com. We want all visitors to feel safe and welcome. Please consider wearing a face coverings when unable to maintain 6-feet of social distance.
Tools, instructions, and good camaraderie will be provided. Bring water, lunch, and dress for working in the weather. If you have your own gloves you'd like to use, please bring those as well. Footwear appropriate for outdoor work/hiking is recommended. There are no maintained trails or recreational facilities on this site.
All volunteers will receive a free national park day pass and a t-shirt! Family and friends are welcome to participate, but need to sign up to receive t-shirt. They can create a visitor account to register.
