The Field Biology course is a 3-credit, 7-week course at Anoka-Ramsey Community College focusing on the topics and concepts presented in the Prairies & Potholes textbook: geology, plant communities, wildlife, aquatic systems, human impacts and interpretation. Master Naturalist students enroll in the course via MNat website and participate as a non-credit ARCC student (and therefore do not have to take the tests). We meet twice a week for 1.75 hour lecture and then for a 3 hour lab, most of which are in the field at local sites in Anoka and Hennepin counties. Capstone projects can be completed as a group or solo.

The course cost is $295 and includes course manuals and supplies.

If the course cost is a hardship, please fill out the scholarship application. After the scholarship is fully processed, you will receive a code to be entered in the on-line registration process. Please wait until you receive that code to complete registration.
