Join River Keepers for another exciting Race the Red Canoe & Kayak Races!
Racers choose between 1.5, 3.5, and 6 mile races on the Red River. Racers start at Dike East in Fargo, paddle to a designated turnaround point, grab a prize, and return down river to the finish. The primary intention of this event is to have FUN and this cannot happen without volunteers to assist. We need help with the following ....
• Transport canoe and kayak trailer
• Register participants (4:30 - 6:30 p.m.)
• Assist with canoe and kayak rentals (4:30 - 6:30 p.m.)
• Coordinate music (5:00 p.m.)
• Traffic control (5:00 - 6:30 p.m.)
• Assisting participants in and out of their vessel and give reminders (5:30 - 6:30 p.m. or 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.)
• Lead an educational activity (5:30 - 7:30 p.m.)
• Time participants at Dike East (6:30 - 8:30 p.m.)
• Time participants at turn around spots (6:00 - 8:00 p.m.)
• Hand out prizes at turn around spots (6:00 p.m.)
• Emcee (6:00 - 8:30 p.m.)
• Photographer
• Photobooth Photographer
• Event writer
