Calling all women wilderness explorers! Join us for a half-day of winter learning and fun with Cedar Creek’s GreenCorps member Savanna Henning. Hike and/or snowshoe to Cedar Bog Lake to look for animal tracks and experience tallgrass prairie, white cedar swamps, and hardwood forest in all their frosty, winter glory. Sip some tasty hot cocoa as you learn about winter tree ID and take time to reflect with a nature journaling activity. Please dress appropriately and be prepared for winter hiking. Registration fee goes toward snacks and hot cocoa, with remaining funds will support Cedar Creek's K-12 education program. Ages 12+. Questions can be directed to Savanna Henning at henni282@umn.edu.
