Volunteers are invited to the family-friendly seed collection from Oronoco's very rare SE Minnesota Remnant Prairie. This seed collection will be held on National Public Lands Day, September 25th between 9 AM noon. Collected seeds from dozens of native species are distributed to urban prairie and savanna restoration projects as well as to Minnesota's DNR sites. Benefits to the environment include ensuring local genetic diversity and providing very local genetic diversity in our newly restored urban parks.

Wear a long sleeved shirt, long pants with socks and sturdy closed toe shoes. You may need a hat, sunglasses or sunscreen if a sunny day.

Social distancing and masks if closer than 6 Feet.

Family members are welcome but MUST be registered. You will be able to add their names in the comments.

Site is located just North of Sargent's Nursery.
