Camp Ripley RGMA is managed cooperatively by the Minnesota Department of Military Affairs, Minnesota DNR, Ruffed Grouse Society, Minnesota Deer Hunters Association and Pillager High School. Management goals are to improve ruffed grouse and woodcock habitat by creating young forests and planting wildlife friendly tree and shrub species. The site is approximately 400 acres with 4.3 miles of walking trails. National Public Lands Day volunteers will assist with planting/caging shrubs at Camp Ripley's Ruffed Grouse Management Area.
