For this project, MNat volunteers will allow us to use free seeds from our own rain gardens that typically go un-harvested or unplanted. We have prairies that need more milkweed and pollinator plants. This is a win-win opportunity for Minnetonka restoration staff to work with the MNat volunteers we love, and get some much needed direct-seeding completed.

Collect milkweed and other prairie plant seeds at Gray's Bay Marina, then go to Lone Lake Park prairies to plant the seeds (weed & seed) in appropriate locations.

Volunteers will be required to sign a city release form.

Please wear Sturdy boots, bring a water bottle, light gloves, hand trowel, hand pruner. City will provide snacks.

Only Minnesota Master Naturalist volunteers are permitted at this site!
