Goals of Position: Stewards are dedicated to preserving, protecting, and restoring natural areas and vital ecosystems in Saint Paul. With over 2,000 acres of natural areas in Saint Paul, our Environmental Services staff simply can’t do it alone. Stewards are an integral part of natural resource management in Saint Paul’s parks and natural areas. Each Steward will adopt and maintain a selected parcel throughout the growing season.

Location: Restored habitat sites in the Como Woodland Outdoor Classroom in Como Regional Park in Saint Paul—specific parcels adopted by each Steward

Hours: Duties will be carried out independently during the Steward’s own time. Overall time commitment required will be determined for each parcel and growing season, but will usually call for 4-8 hours per month during the growing season.
