ADV - Aquatic Plant Identification
Sauk Rapids, MN 56379
Did you know that Minnesota is home to six native watermilfoil species along with one invasive watermilfoil? Or how about that we have eight carnivorous aquatic plants (bladderworts)?
This is a great opportunity to get a more in depth knowledge of our underwater forests. We’ve partnered up with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and Minnesota Aquatic Invasive Species Research Center to bring this fun, hands-on workshop to you.
Join us in a room filled with live aquatic plants gathered from across the state with experts guiding you through how to identify all of them. This workshop is open for anyone from beginners to experts. Participants who choose to take a test at the completion of the workshop and pass will be provided a certificate of completion.
Event starts at 9:00 a.m., however there is also an optional introduction to aquatic plants session beginning at 8:00 a.m.
