VOL - AIS Detectors at the State Fair

AIS on a Stick: Sign up to volunteer at the AIS Detectors/Minnesota Aquatic Invasive Species Research Center table at the Minnesota State Fair! Volunteers will get a chance to talk with visitors about some of the AIS specimens you learned about in your training, how to prevent spreading AIS, the AIS Detectors program, MAISRC, and more. We'll provide you with some pointers and/or extra info leading up to the event. The AIS table will be located in the CFANS (College of Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resource Science) building at the state fair and the AIS table will be up on September 3rd and 4th (the last two days of the fair!). Volunteers get FREE admission for the entire day of their visit and are free to explore the rest of the fair after their shift. You will also get a FREE t-shirt from CFANS. Shifts are split into 4 hours and we will need 2 volunteers per shift.
