PP - ARCC Field Biology On Line
Coon Rapids, MN 55433
This is part of an online blended (synchronous and asynchronous) class with non-Master Naturalist students who are taking the class for credit at Anoka-Ramsey Community College. There will be one synchronous meeting each week through Zoom, plus other lecture material will be recorded and presented on D2L, an online learning management system. Tests and quizzes, are optional for Master Naturalist students. Students will be expected to make guided field trips on their own to sites in Anoka County and eastern Hennepin County for the lab component of the course. All students are required to participate in a minimum of 10 hours of service-learning. Projects will be chosen in consultation with the instructor and within the theme of the course, but there is a trail camera project in progress that students can contribute to. Visit http://www.anokaramsey.edu/academics/online-learning/ for general online course format. For Master Naturalists, a final field trip will be given in person to when it is considered safe.
Master Naturalist students will be issued an Anoka Ramsey Community College account prior to the class opening to allow them access to the on line platform called D2L. Questions regarding the class itself, D2L or access to the class materials should be directed to the instructor Joan McKearnan, email@example.com
The course cost is $295 and includes course manuals and supplies.
If the course cost is a hardship, please fill out the scholarship application. After the scholarship is fully processed, you will receive a code to be entered in the on-line registration process. Please wait until you receive that code to complete registration.
