ADV - Bison and savanna restoration - Lunch With A Scientist

Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve, East Bethel website

2660 Fawn Lake Drive NE
East Bethel, MN 55005

Join life-long learners for a monthly lunch and learn series at Cedar Creek! Bring your own lunch and hunger for knowledge, we will provide the brain food! Each month, scientists will present a general-audience lecture about their work at or related to Cedar Creek.

July's speaker will be postdoctoral researcher Dr. Chad Zirbel. Summer 2018 saw Cedar Creek bring a herd of wild bison to our oak savannas to study their ability to help use restore this threatened ecosystem. Join Chad for an overview of the research, now in its second year, and recent results. If weather permits, we will also head out to the bison viewing gazebo to try and see the herd in person! Please wear closed-toe shoes and dress for the weather.
